1. The NLIU CADR blog accepts submissions from academicians, legal practitioners, research scholars, and students. The Blog aims to promote discourse on issues in Alternative Dispute Resolution, and welcomes original articles. Submissions on any topic falling within the Blog’s broad theme are invited. Please refer to the submission guidelines below before contributing.
2. We accept original submissions on a rolling basis on themes about Alternative Dispute Resolution practices, including but not limited to Mediation, Negotiation and Arbitration.
3. Submissions can be in the form of articles, opinions, case comments, and short notes on the aforementioned themes.
4. We accept articles only in English.
5. Analytical posts are preferred over descriptive ones. Posts will be considered for publication based on various factors including relevance, quality, structure, logic and writing-style.
6. All submissions should be in .doc or .docx format and sent to [email protected] with the subject “NLIU-CADR Blog Submission”.
7. We shall not be accepting any blog submission made to any email id other than the aforementioned.
8. The manuscripts should be the original work of the authors. If the use of generative AI or plagiarism is detected, the manuscript will be rejected.
9. Co-authorship for the manuscripts is permissible. However, the number of co-authors must not exceed two.
10. The submission must also include an abstract of 80-100 words, summarising the article.
11. The length of a piece must ideally be between 1000 – 1500 words, excluding the abstract and endnotes. Flexibility in this regard may be allowed at the sole discretion of the editorial team in consideration of the topic and content of the manuscript.
12. Submissions must adhere to the following formatting requirements:
    1. Font- Times New Roman
    2. Font size- 12-point; 1.5 line spacing
    3. Alignment – Justified, Paragraph Spacing – 6 pt (before and after)
    4. All references must be in the form of hyperlinks in the body of the submission. Hyperlinks should be provided to all supporting materials and legal texts for the benefit of the readers. In case no hyperlink is available for any reference, use of endnotes is recommended. In such cases, a standard uniform mode of citation must be used for the same (ideally, Bluebook).
    5. The title can consist of no more than 12 words.
13. Submissions not conforming to the above mentioned guidelines may be returned or rejected. 
14. CADR reserves the right to reject/accept any article. Further, by sending your article to CADR, you agree that we may publish it on the NLIU-CADR Blog. Decisions of the Editorial Board are binding and submissions may be rejected solely at the discretion of the Editorial Board. Given the large volume of submissions, the Editors are not in a position to provide feedback on each rejected submission.
15. Manuscripts accepted for publication may only be cross-posted on any alternate platform with due acknowledgement that it was first published in the NLIU-CADR blog.
